The principal objectives of SAO
- To bring about wider public recognition and acceptance of the function of the industry in which the members of this Corporation are engaged and to provide its members and the public with information related to the workers’ compensation, unemployment compensation and employee benefit systems.
- To promote, protect and improve the integrity, administration and operation of these systems for:
- Workers who may be eligible for benefits under these systems,
- Employers who finance these systems.
- To provide a forum to discuss, consider and promote opportunities and deal with problems common to the members of this Corporation and the benefit systems in which they work and to promote activities designed to enable the members to conduct themselves with the greatest economy and efficiency.
- To exercise any and all powers conferred upon it by the laws of the State of Ohio now or hereafter in effect and to do any and all things not prohibited by law in furtherance of the objectives of this Corporation.
SAO Committees
Information Technology
Assist in the development and use of Information Technology to streamline information exchange with the Bureau of Workers’ Compensation and review all recommendations to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of data transmission and analyses.
Rules & Regulations
Review proposed Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation rules and regulations for impacts to the employers of Ohio and the workers’ compensation system in general.
Efficiency & Effectiveness
Assist in the development of cost saving measures in regards to the Ohio workers’ compensation system and specifically for the employers of the state.
